| PAUL MCGEHEE'S OLD TOWN GALLERY TO PRESENT LE FLEUVE (THE RIVER) BY ARTIST "IURRO" Alexandria, Va., July 28, 2008 - Paul McGehee's Old Town Gallery is delighted to announce an artist reception for a solo exhibition called Le Fleuve (The River) by the artist, Jiri "Iurro" Stavovcik. It will be held on Friday, August 8, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Gallery at 109 North Fairfax Street, Alexandira, Virginia 22314. SABMiller, maker of the Pilsner Urquell, generously supports the reception. Admission is free and the public is welcome. The St. Lawrence River is the main theme of the exhibition. Iurro traveled to Canadian province of Quebec where he stayed at a private beach in the town of Riviere-Trois-Pistoles. The rugged nature and the ever-changing beauty of the St. Lawrence River under different weather conditions inspiered the artist to create a series of paintings that he presents to public at this occasion. Iurro is a Fairfax county based painter born in Czechoslovakia, and raised in Cuba and Czechoslovakia. He is a graduate of Moravian College, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic.
